Home > Removing the clutter
Clutter-less means starting slow, small and remain steadyJust as clutter arises gradually over a period of time, so it must be fought gradually and over time. Beating clutter requires building new habits, applying new organizational methods, and creating new household routines. The clutter cure takes time, and can't be short-cut. Resist the temptation to go all-out in fevered, short-term scrambles against clutter. Like the fabled tortoise and hare, slow and steady wins the de-clutter race. First things first: schedule time to de-clutter. Even 15 minutes a day will make a good start. Better, schedule larger blocks of time, from 2 - 4 hours once or twice a week, for maximum de-clutter efficiency, sticking to the schedule until your house has been de-cluttered from top to bottom. Scheduling de-clutter sessions brings the goal out of the stratosphere and into real life. By committing time to de-cluttering, you strengthen your motivation and embrace the goal of a clutter-free house. By keeping the de-clutter appointments, you begin to create increasingly larger areas where clutter has been removed.
